OXBLVD is a four-piece, blues-inspired, alternative folk-rock band, founded in 2011 from the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Australia. The band consists of lead vocalist/guitarist Ed Worland, drummer Rob Turner; guitarist Jake Farriss; and bassist Josie Leicht. Together, the band has released a self-titled EP in 2013, toured extensively throughout Australia and performed numerous music industry showcases in the United States. They are currently recording their newest studio EP at Rancom Street Studios in Sydney with acclaimed Producer Tony Buchen (The Preatures/John Butler Trio).

Originally a trio known as “Ed Worland & The Green Teas” featuring founding members Ed Worland and Rob Turner, guitarist Jake Farriss joined the pair after seeing them perform at a local bar in Manly. Together they began collaborating on material that would ultimately become the band’s new sound, a mix of blues and folk/rock. After playing shows throughout Sydney and Melbourne, they soon realized this was no longer a solo project of Ed’s so they renamed themselves OXBLVD and released their debut singles 'Oh Oh Oh (Got My Pipe)' and ‘Tease Me’ in 2011 to both critical and fan based acclaim. By December 2011, both songs were topping the Triple J Unearthed Indie Music charts at #4 and #6 and the Triple J Unearthed overall chart at #6 and #9 respectively. An opportunity to showcase to American music industry leaders in 2013 brought fourth member Josie Leicht into the band and cemented the group’s new sound even further.

Following performances on American television (AXsTV), at industry conferences including SXSW and showcasing at leading music venues such as Rockwood Music Hall in New York City and The Viper Room in Los Angeles, OXBLVD looks to the January 2015 release of their latest EP to be followed by another North American tour, SXSW 2015 and appearances on the Summer Festival circuit.
