Usage: {{F|file name}}

Establishes a link to the file name and displays the file name without the prefix "File:".
Because of the empty parameter bug it does not use the 'pipe trick' but a work-around against that bug.

• If a second parameter is specified, this name is displayed instead of the file name.
• If a third parameter is declared it specifies the px-size, and the file will be displayed inline following or preceding the file name
  • If another unnamed parameter is declared with the value "l", the picture is displayed left of the name
  • If another unnamed parameter is declared with the value "b", the picture is bordered (see 2^nd example).
• If an unnamed 3^rd to 6^th parameter is declared with the value "x", no link will be generated (as in "other versions" of File:Arrow-C.svg.)
• With the named parameter “lang” any language code can be defined, it establishes interwiki access to a local file

It is not possible to display pictures from other Wikipedias.
