Note: This template is used on a lot of pages. In order not to put too much load on the servers, edits should be kept to a bare minimum. Please discuss proposed changes on the talk page first.

This template marks all images released as PD-text.

The template automatically sets the following categories: Category:PD textlogo (with suffix: (type), e.g. "PD textlogo (license plates)")

• Text logos (or Simple text logos)
• when SVG file: SVG text logos (or Simple SVG text logos)

Usually, this is accompanied by {{Trademarked}}. Instead, you can also use {{subst:tmlogo}}.
