本作品在美國屬於公有領域，是因為符合下列三個條件：

本作品首次於美國以外出版（而且沒有在之後30天內於美國出版）；
本作品首次出版於1989年3月1日以前且沒有著作權標記或登記，或於1964年以前出版且沒有進行著作權更新，或是於來源國與美國建立著作權關連以前出版；
it was in the public domain in its home country on the URAA date (January 1, 1996 for most countries).
