TemplateData

TemplateData je způsob, jak uložit údaje o parametrech šablony i o šabloně samotné v podobě čitelné lidem i strojově. Je užívána Vizuálním editorem a pravděpodobně i jinými nástroji jako třeba Upload Wizard.

Existující dokumentace šablony
Na Wikimedia Commons je doporučeno užívat {{TemplateBox}} s parametry useTemplateData=1 nebo useTemplateData=only na /doc podstránce a její vložení pomocí {{Documentation}} do šablony. Pokud je nutné, aby se šablony neexpandovaly, mohou být okolo hodnot použity tagy <nowiki>.

Another option, especially for imported templates, or for users with JSON experience, is placing raw <templatedata>-tags into the Wikitext of the template, as described in various Wikipediae.
