This template adds a Credit line field to the {{Information}} or {{Artwork}} templates used with most images, which stores the credit line or attribution text that the author wishes to be used by reusers, as is required for files using Creative Commons CC BY and CC BY-SA licenses.

Usage

Template parameters

Parameter	Description		Default	Status
Author	The author's name portion of the Credit line, which can be a pseudonym or Commons username.		empty	optional
Other	Other parts of the Credit line separated by "/". They can include: Attribution Parties, like Wikimedia Commons or sponsor institute URI, like web address Title of the work Several shortcuts are defined: Other=WC will provide a link to Wikimedia Commons Other=TITLE will provide the filename as a work title Other=WC/TITLE will provide a link to Wikimedia Commons and the filename as a work title		empty	optional
License	The license portion of the Credit line, which is required for CC and GFDL licenses but optional for rare {{Attribution}} licenses. Use the word 'skip' to omit license section. The license should have the name of the license and link to the license. Several shortcuts were defined to more popular licenses (see table below).		empty	required

This has to be placed as a value of the other_fields field of {{Information}} template.

Localization

To add your language to the list of languages supported by this template, please edit the template and add a row to the "{{LangSwitch|}}" construct. It takes the form "|xx= Your translation " (xx being the code of your language)
