Creates a link to a named module (or nothing at all if there's no specified pagename)
The template automatically sets the following categories:
- Category:Deprecated M – if the specified module does not exist, because it assumes the name may be that of a template. But may indicate that the module no longer exists.
Usage
{{M |1= }}
This was previously used also to create a link to a template with that same name (and so it was redirected as an shortcut or alias of template:T). This habit used mainly by French users, familiar with modèle:{{Modèle}}, is now deprecated, please use template:{{T}} instead.
Template parameters
| Parameter | Description | Default | Status | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | pagename | the name of a module (or template) without its namespace | empty | suggested |
2 | label | the text to display in the link | {{{1|}}} | optional |
3 | prefix | set "+" or "-" to precede "Module:" (as a link, or straight text) | empty | optional |
