This is for global common categories. For local (language-specific) content use {{Local maintenance category}} (translation may be needed). These two templates were created to replace {{Category scheme Commons maintenance}}.

The template automatically sets the following categories: Category:Maintenance categories Category:Hidden categories, via {{Hiddencat}} (unless hidden=n)

Usage

Template parameters

shortcut 1	shortcut	shortcut=pagename - adds a shortcut box. Leave out the brackets.	empty	optional
hidden	hidden category	hidden=n prevents it from adding {{Hiddencat}}.	empty	optional
purge	purge link	Adds {{Purge}} if provided	empty	optional
norandom	flag to suppress random in category button		empty	optional
toc	table of contents	if set to yes, will transclude {{CatAutoTOC}}; value can be set to any template name or include a template for display	empty	optional
